You can make regular white or brown rice from your grocery store Rowdy too!

Add a large spoonful of peanut, soybean or canola oil to a heavy iron pot then a cup of uncooked rice. Heat it to high and stir it constantly until the rice kernels begin to open. The final cooked rice will have a nice burst look. This usually takes about 3 - 5 minutes. Have the water ready, use 2 cups of fresh water to each cup of uncooked rice.
Add 2 chicken bouillon cubes instead of salt and a healthy dash of Tumeric. Cover and cook on low for 45 minutes to an hour or until all the water has been absorbed.
Try cooking rice in a pressure cooker to speed cooking time. Brown rice only takes about 20 minutes to cook in a pressure cooker.
Adding sliced or minced fresh onion after the water gives the cooked rice a nice flavor and texture.
